Chapter 103: Diamond Spirit Crystals

Chapter 103: Diamond Spirit Crystals

Seraph and the others immediately looked over, seeing what Left had pointed out.

"Oh?" Seraph let out an amused chuckle.

Inside that cave were five Inferno Sect disciples. However, they were all weak. Merely Initial Advanced Stage cultivators.

"Should we apprehend them?" Right asked with a whisper, his eyes narrowed.

"They might have distress signals on them we shouldn’t blindly risk it."

Sylvia cautioned, carefully studying the surroundings of the cave.

"She’s right." Seraph said as he rubbed his chin. "The disciples seem to have been running from something. One of them is even injured. That’s why they’re hiding in that cave."

Right frowned. "Could they have fired their distress signals already, and were only waiting for reinforcement?"

"Perhaps." Left whispered.

Thinking this, they decided to wait for quarter an hour before acting. Fifteen minutes passed slowly, and yet there were no signs of any external help for the disciples.

"Damnit." One of the Inferno Sect disciples cursed and threw a stone outside the cave.

The stone rolled to a stop at someone’s feet, causing him to look up.

"Senior Brother Mo!" He immediately sprang up in joy and rushed out to greet this person.

The other four also came out, with the injured one being carried by another.

"Senior Brother, did you receive our distress signal?" The disciple asked.

Mo, a bald young man, shook his head and passed. "You should bless your luck. I was merely passing by when this stone rolled to my feet."

"Ohh! Thank goodness! It’s really a miracle that we could gain your assistance, Senior Brother." The young man flattered Mo with an extremely wide smile.

"What made you all hide here, though? And this guy’s injuries seem severe." Mo asked, casting a look at the injured disciple.

The disciple carrying the injured one sighed. "It was a Cloudmane Lion. We managed to escape from it, but we lost several brothers and sisters. In fact, Frank here was severely injured."

Mo’s expression turned apologetic. "I’m sorry you all had to go through that. Don’t worry, I’ll lead you back to the main camp. By the way, where’s that beast that did all that?"

"That... we don’t know. We suddenly lost track of it while running, so we don’t know."

Mo hummed and rubbed his chin. He was a little confused about how the Cloudmane Lion decided to stop chasing them, and now it was nowhere to be found.

"Forget about it. I was planning to take revenge for Junior Brother Frank, but let’s return to the camp."

They all nodded and followed behind Mo, descending down a rocky path that seemed untrainable.

Unfortunately for them, Seraph and his team immediately followed after them, staying close but moving stealthily.

’This will be interesting.’

Seraph chuckled inwardly as he followed behind them rapidly.

At some point, Mo grew suspicious about glanced back.

Seraph, Sylvia, and the twins all hid behind rocks before Mo could even turn fully.

"Hm..." His eyes narrowed softly.

"What’s the matter, Senior Brother?" One disciple asked.

He turned around and said to them. "I thought someone was following us. I don’t know... but it is probably just my intuition overreacting."

Humming, Mo smiled and urged them to continue going. The place was really rocky and dry, bringing uncomfortable heat to anyone that passed through the place.

"Let’s follow them. From a safer distance now. That guy is sharp."

Seraph said cautiously.

"Wait. That Mo guy is definitely not as strong as you. Why don’t we abduct them and force them to reveal the location of their base?" Right suggested, but Seraph declined.

"I can feel it from that Mo guy’s demeanor. He’ll run away as soon as he senses danger. I should be able to stop him, but I don’t want a distress signal being shot out."

It was understandable, as their cover would get blown if they were found.

"Alright. Let’s just maintain a safe distance." Sylvia said, then stepped forward. They all continued tailing the Inferno Sect disciples until those people reached their base.

Seraph and his team were astonished by the size of the camp. The Inferno Sect weren’t even trying to hide, as there were almost five hundred disciples at the camp, moving in and out of the tents and doing several things.

"Wait a moment. What are they planning by staying here?" Sylvia frowned, confused.

This was definitely not the kind of camp they had been expecting. They were expecting a camp hidden inside a large mountainous cave or something, but were faced with an open camping site instead.

"Really." Right leaned forward, looking at them carefully. "They seem to be focused on doing something, though."

"Yeah." Left nodded. "This place is really different. It seems they’re trying to get something valuable from this land."

Seraph’s eyes glinted when he heard this, and he smiled.

"Let’s watch."

Unaware that they were under surveillance, Mo escorted the five disciples to the medical area where Frank was accepted and immediately taken in for treatment.

As for the others, they were merely given basic healing pills to heal the small wounds and injuries they had.

"Damn. I’m finally relieved to be back here." One of them smiled and said to another.

"What are they doing though? The camp seems to have grown busier."

"Yeah." Mo answered, his bald head shining under the sun. "I heard that they’ve reached the outer layer of the Diamond spirit crystal core. If they can break through it, then we’re nothing but rich."

The disciples were greatly surprised and marveled, immediately rushing over to join the workforce and support those working.

Seraph and his mates had read Mo’s lips, and they deduced what he said quickly.

"Diamond spirit crystals? What’s that?" Left asked, looking confused.

Seraph also turned to Sylvia. "Is it what I’m thinking?"

She nodded. "Hm, it is."

His eyes glinted brightly. "Better than gold?"

"Infinitely better." Sylvia answered, her gaze fixed on the worksite.

"Hey, what are you talking about? Come on, tell us what that thing means." Right asked with a pout.

"Don’t raise your voice. Just think of it as a better cultivation resource." Seraph smiled. "And we’re taking everything under their nose."
